The power+systems organisation workshop, 11 July, London

30 May 2014

Taking place on Friday 11 July 2014

The Power+Systems workshop allows us to understand our experiences in organisational life, where we find ourselves as Top, Middle, Bottom, and Customer. Our feelings in these roles are a predictable result of the conditions of those positions. Our instinctive and predictable responses to those experiences are counter-productive and exacerbate system problems. The event is about learning to choose the alternative – to really work in partnership together.

By seeing systems and developing strategies for responding in alternative and more productive ways, participants can begin to experience situational leadership, and find ways to stay ‘in partnership’ with others who are experiencing the various different situational positions in the organisation.

You’ll be taken out of your current work system and put into a new, real system for the day. It involves a lot of fun, some real work, and real learning. Wear your good socks!

This hugely powerful experiential workshop helps with transformation, cultural change, middle management power and effectiveness, partnership, and joint working. Only thirty people in the UK are qualified to run this programme, and our facilitator has been trained by Barry Oshry himself, the founder of Power+Systems (

The workshop will show the problems that come with working in a big organisation. You can expect to get a deeper awareness of the perspectives of key players in your organisation and be inspired to identify new tactics and methods to use in your job.

‘I know that after ten years of utilizing the organisation workshop that the language of this systems model is part of Microsoft’s common management and leadership language, and as such has helped strengthen the community of leaders at Microsoft.’ John Colburn, Former Manager, Management & Leadership Development, Microsoft
