Youth services and children’s centres – trash or transform? 23 July breakfast seminar

Should children's centres and youth services be trashed or transformed? That was the question addressed by a breakfast seminar that we held in conjunction with the National Youth Agency, Bates Wells Braithwaite, and Dr Margey Whalley in July 2014. We all know that early intervention is a good thing, and delivers positive results, but how can this be balanced with local authorities' continuing financial pressures. A wide range of topics were covered during the discussion, from the role of voluntary organisations to the complexity of commissioning children's and young people's services. It was a really productive session, which left everyone with plenty to think about.
